Plus points:

Karthi, Rakul Preet

Vel Raja Cinematography

Minus points:

Story, screenplay

First half

Karthi has immensely indulged in his character and gave super performance. Similarly, Rakul was apt to her role as Meghana. As they have worked earlier in Khaki and proved to be on screen hit pair, so this time also they have sizzled the screen with their vibrant chemistry. Vel Raja’s cinematography is remarkable in Dev. Director Rajat Ravishankar tried to present an old story in new way, but it seems to be a letdown. The comedy too is not up to the mark, instead it tests once patience. Even the veteran actors Prakash Raj and Ramya Krishna characters were misused. Overall, the film Dev is dull romantic drama, except Karthi and Rakul unreal chemistry which is fabulous.

Rating – 2/5
