Days after senior BJP leader in Maharashtra Eknath Khadse reportedly hinted about early polls in the state, the national president Amit Shah has also indicated the same.
The third anniversary of the BJP-led coalition government is six months away. Nevertheless, party president Amit Shah has expressed hope at a Delhi party meet, that if elections were held, the BJP would romp back to power even with a bigger majority.
Recent comments by the BJP leaders in connection with elections in Maharashtra, are seen as a form of warning sign to coalition partner Shiv Sena.
Sena, which is a coalition partner is said to be critical of the functioning of the Devendra Fadnavis government in the state. Supremo Uddhav Thackeray has recently criticized the government over failure to announce loan waivers for farmers.
