The Congress in Telangana is wary of the Telangana state Land Acquisition (Amendment) Act by the State government after Telangana was formed.
The Congress has maintained that the move was in violation of the Central Land Acquisition Act 2013 passed in 2013, and is ready to move the Supreme Court, sources said.
Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee President N Uttam Reddy said the new Act is against the farmers, and the mandatory gram sabhas holdings was done away, adding there were certain harsh provisions that violated the Central Land Acquisition Act.
“There are many violations of the Central Act. We will file a PIL,” said Reddy.
