Manmadhudu 2 review

Nagarjuna’s latest rom-com ‘Manmadhudu 2’ directed by Chilasow fame Rahul Ravindran. Beautiful and talented actress Rakul Preet romanced Nag in the film. Manam Enterprises, Anand Arts, Viacom 18 have jointly bankrolled ‘Manmadhudu 2’.

Story: Sam(Nagarjuna) stays in Portugal, who doesn’t like to get married. however, his family members always compel him to get married. Thereafter, he sets up a bar waitress Avantika(Rakul Preet) to act as his girlfriend and introduces to his family. Avantika impresses all the family members. Therefore, they decide to get them married soon. On the marriage day, Avantika goes missing. Sam family members come to know that this is all drama. Sam’s mother gets a heart attack. Did Sam agree to get married? what happened to Avantika? forms the rest of the plot.

Sam(Nagarjuna) does the perfume business in Portugal. He decides not to get married because of a situation happened in the past. He sets up a girl to act as his girlfriend. This concept is seen in many old films. The film seems to be family entertainer, but at some points, the double meaning dialogues are presented which seem unnecessary. The kiss between Rakul and Jhansi is a bit bold. Rao Ramesh has entertained as usual with his performance. Sam’s mother Lakshmi and sister Jhansi, Devadarsini, Nishanti have justified their roles. Samantha and Keerthy Suresh’s entry were according to the situation. Director Rahul Ravindra has impressed everyone with his first film Chilasow, but now with Manmadhudu 2, he couldn’t impress hugely.

Rating: 2.5/5
